Our Lady of Fatima Choba welcomes Fr. Meenyinikor

The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Pius Suanu Nwako and parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Choba, Port Harcourt, on Sunday, August 19, 2018, thanked God for the successful Priestly ordination of Rev. Fr. Leo Luka Deenaale Meenyinikor and welcomed him to the parish.
Fr. Nwako thanked Fr. Meenyinikor for accepting the call to the sacred priesthood and prayed God to inspire him in the priestly ministry.
He commended his parents Chief Catechist Dr. and Ezinne Mrs. J. N. D. Meenyinikor for the encouragement, support and training given to the newly ordained priest.
In his homily at the Holy Mass, Fr. Meenyinikor called on Christians to listen to the voice of wisdom and be wise in their dealings.
He reminded the Christians that wisdom has prepared a table before them and enjoined them to always eat from the table of the Lord. “You must be prepared to eat from the table of the Lord, the body and blood of Jesus is available for everyone but you must be prepared for it”.
Fr. Meenyinikor urged Catholics to always say the prayer before Holy Communion: “Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof but only say your word and my soul shall be healed”, meditatively and prayerfully.
He enumerated the benefits in attending daily Masses and prayed the faithful to participate actively and endeavour to receive the Holy Eucharist.
Fr. Meenyinikor thanked Fr. Nwako, parishioners, friends and well-wishers for the honour done him and prayed God to bless them abundantly.
